Purpose

Every newsletter subscriber can also have a dedicated newsletter account. Here the personal data can be changed and the customer can specify which topics he is most interested in. The Newsletter Account Page is the entry to these dedicated Newsletter Account settings. For a customer to initially set up this Newsletter Account, the Request Newsletter Account Link Page is needed as well. Please find below a detailed description of what is needed to set up the Newsletter Account and Request Newsletter Account Link properly.

Checklist: Setting up the Newsletter Account

The Newsletter Account and the Request Newsletter Account Link Page are connected to each other and need to be set up both to have the whole Newsletter Account process work.

To set up the Newsletter Account and the Request Newsletter Account Link the following pages need to be set up:

  • Formpage with Newsletter Account
  • Formpage with Request Newsletter Account Link: This page is needed so your customers can initially request a link to set up their newsletter account.
  • Formpage Newsletter Subscription

Furthermore, a total of 6 Editoral Pages need to be set up, that are linked in the Components Newsletter Account and Request Newsletter Account Link.

4 Editorial Pages for the Newsletter Account component:

  • One, to let your customers know, that the changes made to the Newsletter Account are now saved
  • One, to let your customers know, that the link to the Newsletter Account is invalid
  • One, to let your customers know, that the link to the Newsletter Account is expired
  • One, to let your customers know, that the changes made to the Newsletter Account could not be saved

2 Editorial Pages for the Request Newsletter Account Link Page:

  • One, to let your customer know that the link to the set up the Newsletter Account was sent out
  • One, to let your customer know that the link to the set up the Newsletter Account could not be sent out

Configuration

To create the templates, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Tab: Configuration

  • a. Integrate the path to the Newsletter-Account-Page, which needs to be set up as well (see Checklist)
  • b. Integrate the path to an Editorial Page to let your customer know that the access link to the Newsletter Account has been send out
  • c. Integrate the path to an Editorial Page to let your customer know that the access link to the Newsletter Account could not be send out
  • d.  Define a maximum number of request within one minute (recommended 3)
  • e. Define a maximum number of request within one hour (recommended 8)
  • f. Define a maximum number of request within 24 hours (recommended 5)
  • g. Define a maximum number of request within 7 days (recommended 10)
  • h. Define a maximum number of request within 30 days (recommended 10)

  • b. If you would like to show remarks integrate  a Headline “Remarks” in this field
  • c. and a Remarks text into this field
