Purpose

For the use on Career Pages the Video Module can be integrated on various template types, allowing the display of several videos in one component. The videos can either be integrated by referencing the path to the video in the DAM or by selecting a dedicated tag. To be able to use the variant with the tag, a new namespace within the tagging area needs to be created with all the video tags that might be needed. Once the tags are set up they can be referenced within the properties of the video.

The following examples show what the component can look like. Depending on the configuration, a component can be displayed in different ways.

Configuration

To create the component, follow the steps below. 

Editing within the Component

Editing steps within Video Module
  • Step 1
    Configure Video Module
  • Step 2
    Either select a tag from the dropdown Video Tag
  • Step 3
    or Add Field under Video URL and choose a path to a video within the DAM
  • Step 4
    Integrate an image to be displayed as a starting image
  • Step 5
    Repeat step 3 if needed

Please note

Referencing a Video Tag beats the setting of Video URLS. So if both settings are filled in, the videos from the referenced tag will be shown.

Editing within the Video

  • Step 1
    Browse to the video asset within the DAM and open the properties in the tab Basic
  • Step 2
    Integrate Title
  • Step 3
    If videos should be referened via tag select a tag. The tag itself needs to be maintained in the tagging area of the CMS. (by using the tags within the Video Module all videos flagged with a specific tag will be referenced in the component. One video can be referenced to more than one tag)
