Purpose

It is possible to integrate a Countdown component on the ALDI website. The End Time of the countdown must be defined within the component. Furthermore a headline and a text can be integrated. All labels regarding days, hours, minutes and seconds are integrated within the Language Page.

If the Countdown component is integrated within the Campaign component, it's look and feel is displayed differently. With that version also the texts above and below the Countdown are not displayed. Please see examples below.

Examples

The following examples show what the component can look like. Depending on the configuration, a component can be displayed in different ways.

Countdown Example 1

Settings:

  • Font Family: Mixa Semi Bold
  • Text Top
  • Text Bottom

  • Font Family: FF DIN Bold
  • Text Top

Configuration

To create the component, follow the steps below. 

Editing the Countdown component
  • Step 1
    Integrate Heading
  • Step 2
    Choose Heading Font Family from Dropdown menu
  • Step 3
    If applicable integrate Text (top) (Will not show, if Campaign component style is in use)

    Integrate Heading
  • Step 2
    Choose Heading Font Family from Dropdown menu
  • Step 3
    If applicable integrate Text (top) (Will not show, if Campaign component style is in use)
Editing the Countdown component
  • Step 4
    Choose End Time from the calendar dropdown
  • Step 5
    Integrate timeout text (This text will be displayed once the End Time is reached)
  • Step 6
    Choose color theme from dropdown menu (If the checkbox for Use Style in Campaign Component is checked, a selection of a Color Theme does not have an impact)
  • Step 7
    If applicable tick the checkbox Don’t display 0 days
  • Step 8
    If applicable tick the checkbox Use Style for Campaign Component
  • Step 9
    Integrate Text (bottom) (Will not show, if Campaign component style is in use)
