Purpose

The Footer template is created once in the system and contains links to the different sections of the ALDI Nord website.

At the beginning of the Footer two teasers are displayed: The first directs the user to the signup pages for the App, the second is a subscription teaser for the newsletter.

Beneath these two teasers 4 columns can be used to link to various section in the CMS. For the fourths column instead of text links images can be integrated, for example of various labels that should be promoted.

At the bottom of the footer, the Social Media Bar can be used to link to a variety of Social Media channels like Facebook or Twitter.

The Footer template needs to be specified for the web-consumer page, the corporate page, the career page as well as the corporate responsibility page.

Configuration

To create the template, follow the steps below. 

Footer Page Properties, tab Basic
  • Create Footer template
  • Choose Rollout Status from dropdown in the tab Basic
  • Create Page
  • Open Page
Footer Page Newsletter-Subscription-Component
  • Integrate the following information in the Newsletter-Subscription-Component:
    • a. Headline
    • b. Sub-headline
    • c. Placeholder E-Mail-Adress
    • d. Button Label
    • e. Link to the Newsletter-Subscription-Page
App Teaser component on Footer
  • Integrate the following in the App Teaser component
  • Headline
  • Description
  • Alt Text Aldi App Icon
  • Integrate the following for the Apple Store:
  • URL
  • Link Target settings
  • Link Title
  • Icon Alt Text
  • Integrate the following for the Play Store:
  • URL
  • Link Target settings
  • Link Title
  • Icon Alt Text
Configuration Footer Headline
  • Beneath the two Teaser Components integrate component Footer Headline in the first three columns 
  • Configure the component
  • Integrate Link Text
  • Choose the page path
  • If needed check the checkbox Open in new window
  • Save changes
Footer Element Component
  • Beneath the Footer Headline component integrate the component Footer Element
  • Configure component
  • Integrate Link Text
  • Choose page path
  • If needed check the checkbox Open in new window
  • Repeat the steps until all links that should be displayed in the Footer are integrated on the template
Footer Image Component
  • In row 4 integrate the component Footer Image beneath the Footer Headline
  • Configure component
  • Integrate URL
  • Choose a Link Target
  • Insert a Link Title
  • Integrate an Image Asset
  • Integrat a Title, Alt Text, Author and Location
  • Repeat the steps until a maximum of six images in integrated
Social Media Bar
  • On the bottom the Footer you will find the Social Media Bar
  • Configure the component and integrate a Social Media Bar Text in the Tab General Settings
Social Media Bar
  • Integrate the following in the tab Facebook Messenger
    • Label
    • Dialog Message
    • Close Button
    • Confirm Button
    • URL
Social Media Icon
  • Integrate a Social Media Icon Component in the Drag Component here area
  • Choose the Service from the Dropdown (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik Tok) and integrate a URL and Title
  • Repeat steps 24 and 25 until all the icons you want to display are integrated
  • The Footer automatically appears on all pages located beneath the Consumer Homepage
  • A separate footer can be created for the corporate section, the career page and the corporate responsibility section
