On editorial pages the author can integrate a contest component. Within the component several contest-questions together with their possible answers can be defined and the participant’s data can be asked for.
Optionally, it is possible to display an Upload field in the Contest Form, which allows customers to upload images or pdf files. Per default, the maximum size of assets is restricted to 5 MB. If needed, this can be changed and adjusted per market within the Country Page in the Country settings. The uploaded assets will be sent to an ALDI Inbox and checked for any virus. This Mail also contains an ID which assigns the asset to elettershop. To ensure that this works properly the Upload field must therefore also be integrated on the recipient list of the respective contest.
In general, all contest requests are sent to Elettershop and are subject to a Double-Optin (DOI) process. If a customer subscribes to the Newsletter the personal data will get stored in the recipienlist for the newsletter as well. Please make sure that the field for salutation and title matches the elettershop configuration. The respective Elettershop settings as well as the Contest ID need to be integrated into the component directly. Until now This ID was configurable in the AEM which is not optimal in case the contest form is connected to the SFMC. ID´s which get transfered to SFMC should be unique and unchangeable, therefore the settings for the contest ID will be seperated for Salesforce and Elettershop. If the contenst is connected to Salesforce (checkmark is set on active) then the ID will be created automatically by the AEM and cannot be changed anymore. If the contest from ist connected to Elettershop then the setup is as usual and the ID can be named as wished in the AEM.
In order to test the connection to Elettershop prior to go live, it is possible to integrate Elettershop test-accounts into the component, independently to the author environment.
In addition to participating in the contest the user can also subscribe himself to the newsletter within the contest component. The Newsletter subscription is also subject to a DOI process. In case the user is already subscribed to the Newsletter this process is not required. A corresponding message will be shown on the Contest-Result page.
Depending on the Markets Settings, the Contest Form and the corresponding newsletter subcription can be send to Salesforce, instead of Elettershop. This is possible, once a market has been switch to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The neccessarry configuration for a transition to Salesforce are explained on the bottom of this chapter.
The following examples show what the component can look like. Depending on the configuration, a component can be displayed in different ways.
To create the component, follow the steps below.
To transfer the Contest Form to Salesforce, the corresponding checkbox within the Contest Settings needs to be checked.
This can however only be done, if the market is already rolled out to Salesforce in general.
