Recipe Page

Purpose

The recipe pages contain all relevant information on ingredients and preparation steps. Difficulty levels as well as cooking times or a recipe-video are maintained on this template as well.

Configuration

To create the template, follow the steps below.

  • Step 1
    Choose the recipe overview page under which the recipe should be placed 
  • Step 2
    Click Create
  • Step 3
    Click on Page in the dropdown menu
  • Step 4
    Choose the template Recipe Page
  • Step 5
    Click Next
  • Step 6
    Fill in all information on the tab Basic
  • Step 7
    Integrate all relevant information in the tab SEO
  • Step 8
    Integrate the following in the tab Recipe Page:
    • a. Choose Menu Type
    • b. Recipe Category: Add one or more recipe category by clicking on Add Field
    • c. Servings Number
    • d. Choose difficulty level from Dropdown menu
    • e. Integrate the Working Time by filling in the field for days, hours or minutes (a combination of all three fields is also possible). One of the three fields for Working Time needs to be filled in, otherwise the recipe page cannot be created
    • f. Choose Label for Time from Dropdown menu (e.g. Cooking time, baking time, etc)
    • g. Integrate the Time in days, hours or minutes (a combination of all three fields is also possible). If nothing is integrated in these fields, the second cooking time will not be shown on the recipe page
    • h. If needed, check the checkbox to not show image disclaimer. This setting turns off the disclaimer text on the recipe-image (only relevant if a disclaimer text has been defined on the language page).
    • i. Integrate Author (This is a microdata setting, so whatever is integrated here is visible only in the source code. This is relevant for SEO)
    • j. Integrate Calories (This is a microdata setting, so whatever is integrated here is visible only in the source code. This is relevant for SEO)
    • k. Integrate Fat Content (This is a microdata setting, so whatever is integrated here is visible only in the source code. This is relevant for SEO)
    • l. Choose Diet Type from dropdown menu (This is a microdata setting, so whatever is integrated here is visible only in the source code. This is relevant for SEO)
  • Step 9
    Click Next

Integrating Ingredients

    Open Recipe Page
  • Step 2
    Per default the following setting 2 columns are visible on the page: on the left Ingredients, on the right Preparation Steps
  • Step 3
    Integrate the Ingredient-Component below the headline Ingredients
  • Step 4
    Configure the Component
  • Step 5
    Integrate quantity, unit and Name of the Ingredient. If applicable, the Ingredient can be directly linked to the corresponding article (If the article is integrated on a promotion page and the promotion ends, the link will automatically disappear).
  • Step 6
    Save Changes
  • Step 7
    Repeat steps 03-06 according to the number of ingredients

    Integrate Title and Text (if needed a Rich Text Editor can be used for the Text elements to highlight certain parts of the text)

Tipp

The Tipp component is a component which is only applicable for recipe pages. It can optionally be integrated beneath the ingredients and preparation steps on recipe pages. Tipps are displayed on a with a margin around the component and a Tipp Icon, to distinguish them from the actual recipe steps. The headline is automatically generated from the ALDI language template.

Rollout new recipe pages from the Master

Create a new live copy within the local recipe structure

The Master offers a recipe database ordered by years and weeks. All recipes within this database can be rolled out from the master into the local site structure of the markets. The Content author can decide where the master recipe should be rolled out to within the local recipe structure. Furthermore the title and name of the rolled out recipe can be defined by the Content author. To have the dedicated recipe tags from the master displayed correctly in the local structure it is essential that the tag names of the master and the local tags are identical.

  • Step 1
    Navigate to the structural level where the recipe from the master should be rolled out to and click on Create
  • Step 2
    Choose Live Copy
  • Step 3
    Select the origin of the live copy by navigating to the corresponding folder within the recipe structure of the Master and select the recipe that should be copied
  • Step 4
    Click Next
  • Step 5
    Navigate to the structural level within the local recipe structure where the new recipe should be copied to and select the corresponding folder
  • Step 6
    Click Next
  • Step 7
    Integrate Titel, Name and Rollout Configuration (Standard Rollout Config)
  • Step 8
    Click Next  
  • Step 9
    The selected recipe will then be rolled out from the master to the selected destination within the local recipe structure
