Purpose

The Content Slider component is a horizontal slider component that can be integrated on the following templates:

The author can decide whether the slides within the slider should be displayed in small or large tiles and whether the Show all button should be shown.

Within the various slides a teaser image needs to be integrated and the URL to the page where the tile should link to. Optionally, a title can also be defined. If a title is inserted, the author can also choose a color theme that will be displayed in the background of the title.

Configuration

To create the component, follow the steps below. 

Setting on Content Slider

To configure the general settings on the Content Slider, integrate the following in the tab Settings:

  • Step 1
    In the Style dropdown, please choose whether Large Slides or Small Slides should be used (this affects the display on mobile only)
  • Step 2
    Select whether the titles should be shown on the slides
  • Step 3
  • Check the checkbox if the Show all button should be displayed
  • Step 4
    Integrate the label to Show all
  • Step 5
    Integrate the label to Show less
Analytics on Content Slider

Integrate the following in the tab Analytics:

  • Step 1
    Tracking Name
  • Step 2
    Tracking value previous
  • Step 3
    Tracking value next
Integrating the Category Tile components

To fill the slider with Slides, click on the Content Slider and select the pencil sign to Edit Slides. Then you can integrate Category Slider components into the Content Slider.

Category Tile within Content Slider

Configure the Category Slider component and integrate the following in the tab Link & Title:

  • Step 1
    Link to Target Page
  • Step 2
    Choose whether the link target should oen in the same window or in a new window
  • Step 3
    Integrate a title
  • Step 4
    If a title is inserted, please choose the background color for the title from the dropdown menu. Here you can select the color themes defined in the Country Page.

Integrate the following in the tab Image:

  • Step 1
    Iamge Asset
  • Step 2
    Title
  • Step 3
  • Alt Text
  • Step 4
    Author
  • Step 5
    Location

Additional Note

Adjustment from Release 1.96:

Navigation Dots will be added and Chevrons have been adjusted. If the Chevron is inactive (first or last slide) then it will not be displayed at all. The Content Slider is also available on Editorial Overview Pages and Enhanced Product Pages.
