Purpose

Other than the Newsletter Subscribe the Newsletter Unsubscribe does not require a DOI process. To unsubscribe from a newsletter the user only needs to fill in his email address to the Unsubscribe form. The Newsletter Unsubscribe request will be transferred to eletterhop, who will then send out a confirmation email to the user. Furthermore a confirmation text will be displayed on the website. In case the user wants to unsubscribe from a newsletter he hasn’t subscribed before a dedicated message will show. The same applies if a user unsubscribes before confirming a subscription over the DOI process.

Configuration

To create the template, follow the steps below. 

Newsletter Unsubscribe component, tab heading
  • Step 1
    Integrate Newsletter Unsubscribe component in the gray Drag Component area
  • Step 2
    Integrate the following in the tab Heading:
    • a. Title of the Newsletter component
    • b. Intro-Text of the Newsletter component
    • c. Input field: email address (functions as label for the email address)
    • d. Placeholder: email address (appears as placeholder in the email field)

  • Step 3
    Integrate the following in the tab Remarks:
    • a. Title
    • b. Remarks

  • Step 4
    Integrate the following in the tab Buttons and Links:
    • a. Unsubscribe button label
    • b. Subscribe link label
    • c. Subscribe link URL (Integrate link to Newsletter Subscribe Page)

  • Step 5
    Integrate the following in the tab Thank You Page:
    • a. Heading
    • b.  Acknowledgement for unsubscription from one newsletter
    • c. Acknowledgement for unsubscription of various newsletters
    • d. Information about one newsletter the user was not subscribed to
    • e. Information about multiple newsletters the user was not subscribed to

  • Step 6
    Integrate the following in the tab Error Messages:
    • a. Error Title
    • b. Error Text
    • c. Email Error Message Text
  • Step 7
    Save changes
