Recipe Special Slider  on Recipe Overview Page

We are currently planning an optimization of the recipe area and want to redesign the pages. In this context we have noticed that it was not possible to integrate the Recipe Special Slider on the Recipe Overview Page.

Therefore we made it possible to integrate the Recipe Special Slider into Recipe Overview Pages which ensures more variation in the presentation of the Recipe Overview Page and also more traffic to Recipe Detail Pages.

Smart App Banner

A specific smart app banner has been created which will be displayed only on the mobile view of the website to promote the app and lead the customer to download the app. 

The app banner follows the following criteria:

  • The traffic is excluded from the app so that the banner is not displayed to those users who already have the app
  • If the banner is closed within a session, it will not be displayed again (if it was closed the action will be saved for 15 day and for click on cta 90 days)
  • It tracks how many users click on the CTA in order to measure the success of the banner
  • Depending on the device, either the PlayStore or the AppStore is linked
  • Lables can be edited in properties of Language Page, TAB Lables
  • The app links are maintained in the country page
    • Links are maintained for Play Store
    • The App Store ID is maintained for iOs
    • The Smart App Banner can be activated per store - Default is active
  • The banner is only displayed in the consumer content area
  • Footer links remain untouched

 

Big Slider - only mobile Images mandatory if "only App" Slides

Currently, all 3 image formats must be maintained in the Big Slider, even if a slide is only created for the app. This can lead to misconfiguration of the component so it has been decided to change that so if a slide is created only for the app, only the image formats for the mobile viewports will be mandatory and have to be created.

 

This list describes the image types which will be mandatory dependant if you choose "Only Web, only App or Web&App" in the different Stage Theme variants: 

  • Only Web
    • Image type MD (medium) is mandatory for the variants Big Slider and Standard Behaviour
    • Image types XS (extra small) and XL (extra large) are mandatory for variants Corporate Responsibility and Responsive Behaviour

 

  • Web & App
    • Image types XS and MD are mandatory for the variant Big Slider and Standard Behaviour
    • Image types XS, MD and XL are mandatory for variants Responsive Behaviour and Corporate Responsibility

 

  • Only App
    • Image types XS and MD are mandatory regardless of the Stage Theme Variant

Important Information

The slides themselves cannot be edited statically in the configuration window in the seperate Tabs anymore. The slides can be created and edited dynamically, by clicking the pen icon of the Big Slider and creating the Slides there. 

Provide Big Slider image dimension alternatives

Image dimensions for Stage Theme

It has been decided that it should be possible to enter alternative image dimensions that are less high than the current Big Slider format. 

Therefore follwing dimensions (Heights of Stage Theme) will be allowed for the Big Slider:

  1. 1440px x 590px (large)
  2. 1440px x 490px (medium)
  3. 1440px x 300px (small)

The dimensions are also work for mobile and Tablets.

Important Information

These image dimesnsions are only for the background picture of the Big Slider not for the tiles. The sizes can be chosen in the configuraion window of the Stage Theme.

Characters in price reduction field

The price reduction field on the Article Tile will be displayed in the width of the price field.
If more characters are maintained, they are dotted out.

For marketing texts please use the marketing field instead.

Dynamic Contact Form

Dynamic Contact Form Configuration

Until now all fields and subjects on the contact form are the same for all countries. Therefore it has been decied to adapt the contact form the needs of each market. 

 

Following requirements have been implemented into the dynamic contact form: 

  • Topics need to be defined in SFSC and will be then stored in the CMS via configuration
  • It will be possible to assign existing input fields from the template to each topic flexibly
  • Only the Salesforce service cloud is supported as an interface. Sending by email (postcode RG-specific) is not supported
  • It should continue to respond to the maintenance window which is already set up via OSGI-Config and in this case the requests should be sent to a defined fallback email
  • If only one topic is stored, the selection box will be not displayed, but the topic is still transmitted when submitting the contact form
  • The subtopics for the category "HomeDelivery" are permanently stored in SFSC and may not be used dynamically. The subtopics here are a special solution that must continue to be treated in such a way that the correct assignment of HD requests can be guaranteed.

Configuration:

  1. Insert the new component called "Contact form dynamic" into a form page
  2. Open settings of the component and config everything needed in the tabs
    1. TAB CONTENT SETTINGS - here you can configurate all the Sender Data lables as wished for example for Name, Address, zip code, error message, footer etc.
    2. TAB TOPICS OVERVIEW - here you can insert a lable, placeholder and error message for topics which you will add by your own. Under the section TOPICS there is a button "add field" here you can create your own topic (detail steps in the next chapter below). Same steps are doable for Category of Home Delivery in this TAB
    3. TAB TOPIC FIELDS - here you can Topic relates lables for example the lable for EAN Number in the Topic Articles or Street name for the topic Stores
    4. TAB FALLBACK EMAIL - here you can insert an addess, subject and body text for a fallback email which will be sent out in case of downtime

 

How to set up a new Topic:

  1. Open settings of Dynamic Contact Form and go to TAB TOPICS OVERVIEW 
  2. Click on button "ADD FIELD" in the section Topics and a new empty topic will be created
  3. Give the Topic a name → this name will be displayed for the customer on the form later
  4. Choose a topic type from the dropdown
    1. The dropdown comes from the Salesforce and describes the type of the topic for example if it is about data protection, quality, questions about products etc..
    2. This dropdown list can be adjusted (removing not needed topics or adding new ones) by the market within the OSGI console
  5. From a list of available topic fields you can decide which ones you want to active for your new topic (for example flieds like data upload field or article based fields)
  6. Save and publish

If you want to remove or add topics into the OSGI console in order make them useable in the AEM please reach out to us if support is needed.

Revert Searchbox labels for a content tree

It is possible to configure lables for the Agolia search globaly in the language page properties or local on the Algolia Search itself. 

In case that the local lables are not wanted anymore, you can now easily delete all local lables on the Algolia Search and save and publish the page. After doing so the gobal lables from the language page will be dragged and used again. 

Jobboard Redirect

There was an issue with redirecting TalentLink harver associated jobs from our apply page to harver because the job candidates were connected to the apply page via a technical ID but this posting ID was not being checked against the harver settings in TalentLink.

Therefore following criterias will be checked from now on: 

  • Redirecting a candidate into a harver job experience, by performing a check against the posting status and if active an additional check will be performed against the harver posting.
  • Jobs which are posted via talentlink are published on job boards
  • By applying to these jobs the applicant is accessing our apply form
  • The candidate is being redirected to harver, if the job is a relavant harver job

 

Algolia - Create indice for recipes

The export of recipes has been implemented in the fullexport Job and Algolia Replication Agent for Publishing und Depublishing. So that the recipes are always updated in Algolia

The possibility of searching for recipes will follow in the upcoming releases.

Implementation Uberall as new Store locator

Look of the Uberall map

Currently, YellowMaps is used as a store locator on all websites. This outdated solution is to be replaced in the future by a new state-of-the-art store locator from Uberall. In order to be able to give the customer significantly more information about our stores and also to simplify the search for a store for the customer.

With the new Uberall solution, we will provide the customer a better search and value-added information on the website for our stores, as well as the possibility to see the nearest markets directly on a map. In addition, through better information and structured data, we push our Google My Business results to become more visible to our customers on Google.

Therefore a rollout is planned and performed for Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark. For this purpose, the Uberall script of the store locator for these countries has been integrated on the store locator pages in DE, NL & DK.

Other markets will keep using the Yellowmap until Uberall has been rolled out for them.

Important Information

The new store locator from Uberall is enabled but not ready for use yet.

Therefore please do not use it until we inform you.

PT- Catchphrases

PT now also wants to use the catchphrase footer on the Job Detail Page.
Therefore the TalentLink field "PTCatchphrase" have been connected.

DE_ teaser text in Offers with HTML code

The text in question "<p>660 W</p>" is stored in the attribute "teaserText".
This attribute was rededicated some time ago to variant text, i.e. this text should only be output if the checkbox "has Variants" is set.
In the CMS / HTL, the attribute is output with HTML tags are not escaped same goes for the search results (React tile).

 

Therefore following adjustments have been made:

  • html tags are filtered out via the Softkat Importer
  • Html tags are filtered out for the output to Algolia and for the output in the article tile
  • Only the variant text is displayed in the tile if the attribute "hasVariants" is set

Sort out not available products

Not available/sold out products should be moved to the bottom of the product stream within the category on the offer page. (Content tiles will be moved to the end of the tile group as well). The sorting is automated. 

The following priority order of products within a category segment is targeted:

  1. Hero-Product
  2. Available Products
  3. Sold out products for online articles
  4. Not available/Sold out products for store and online
  5. Content Tiles 

If the Hero product is not available, it will appear at the end of the tile group or as sorted with other unavailable/sold out item tiles, and no Hero item will be displayed. The approval status of the Promotion Day Page is not lost during the reordering also it has no effect on the lazy loading.

Important Information

Content Tiles that can be placed within an Article Tile Group are now automatically placed on last position of the Article Tile Group.

Make labels required on search result page

Currently, labels on the search results page can be left blank, which can lead to incorrect display of search results and suggestions. Therefore labels in the component dialog will be defined as required.

Change Slick Slider to Swiper for Stage Theme Variant

The stage theme in the form normal or responsive is currently based on the slick slider and therefore follows the requirements for a mainly clickable component this should be changed so that all Stage Theme variants follow the same scheme.

Therefore the variant normal and responsive should also be based on the Swiper, so that a consistent behavior is achieved in all variants and corresponds to the behavior of the Big Slider in autoplay.

So following behavior will be adjusted for responsine and normal:

  • If the first slide is active, the previous button is disabled
  • If the last slide is active, the next butto is disabled
  • Autoplay is set to true and the slider no longer runs backwards

Bugfixes

  • Theme component - Fields not marked as mandatory - The fields Title, Alt Text, und Link text have been made mandatory so that the component can not be saved empty or without these fields.
  • Algolia - Availability is not going to work with lowercase - The lowercase on the AlgoliaFlagName had some conflicts and lead to false results - this has been fixed and the Availability Flag can be set correctly now.
  • Shoppinglist is showing wrong date on product tile - this is fixed and the product tile shows the correct date when it has been added into the shopping list.
  • Article Tile Dialog does not show articles on other pages - the article dialog has a bug where the dialog does not list pages where the article is also integrated nor the canonical link - this is fixed now.
  • DE - Job Search V2 - Quicksearch opens with content path - The Job search page would open with a displayed content path - this has been fixed.
  • Textfields for Algolia search are not displayed for FR - This is fixed now and the textfields are available again.
  • Newsletter Feedback - Translation possibility for labels missing - In the Newsletter Feedback Component the lables for "other" and the button text for "submit" were in German and could not be changed - this has been fixed.

 

Important Information

A new recipe component is incoming soon. This component helps to promote or highlight certain recipes and also link the customer to the needed ingredients. It will be available on 

  • Recipe Page
  • Recipe Overview Page
  • Recipe Landing Page
  • Editorial Page

We will keep you updated about this component.

Please don't use this component until we explicitly release it for usage.

  • A new area was created for FAQs. This section will be updated constantly, so feel free to check it out.
