About the development of new requirements and optimizations of the Content Management System.
The newsletter feedback component has been now been enabled for all markets. So after the user unsubscribes from the newsletter he will be lead to an overview of the unsubscribed newsletter and beneath will be a textbox where the user can submit a feedback. A report of the feedback can be drawn as an Excel.
In the FAQ search, only the headings, in this case the questions, are searched, not the answers. However, a search of the answers are helpful as well to get more potential results. Therefore, this scenario has been realized.
The “add to shopping list” button which can be used on article tiles has been adjusted and enhanced. It is now possible for users to add an article several times into the shopping list, for example to note how many of the articles are needed. This gives a more transparent shopping list.
After the user has clicked on the “add to shopping list” once the notification that this item has been added into the list pops up. On the button a “+” symbol appears to enter/choose the amount of the article, after every click on the “+” symbol a notification about adding the amount appears. The counter on the shopping list icon does not count the amount of 5 of the same article, it will only count up if a new article (which is not in the shopping list already) has been added. The amount can also be reduced with a “-“which appears from an amount of two and can also be completely removed by clicking on the trash can.
There is an error case for the Instagram component which shows that a connection to the Instagram API was not possible. However, this circumstance is not being communicated clearly to the author, so that after the timeout he only sees that he cannot select any postings.
Therefore, an appropriate error messages has been implemented and will be shown to the author if this error case appears.
We extended the necessary run method of the BatchIndexingProcessor for internationalization. The aim is to activate or deactivate each individual market and to define the cron expression.
The Algolia batch indexing processing can be enabled or disabled per market and the job can be determined by cron expression in date and period.
The jobs are defined for int, preprod, prod and only run on one publisher if two are available (at 6.am). The Data of all indices will be send towards Algolia.
It is already possible to start the BatchIndexing Algolia job in AEM and to view its results in the results table. In order to make the duration more transparent, the table has been extended by the completion time and the job duration.
Algolia has the option to copy and move an index. This makes it possible to prevent a possible failed export and the associated unfilled index during a downtime. It has been decided to enable this option for our use of Algolia.
Entering the index names in the SearchResults component dialog currently does not correlate with the selection of the technical index names. This makes it impossible to maintain further indices without code adjustments and is also not favorable in terms of usability of the dialog.
Therefore, the index entry is converted to a multifield in which the technical index and the correlating display name are maintained as data tuple. This means that when adding a multifield, there is always a text field for the displaying name and a dropdown for selecting the index.
Note: A content migration for the labels has taken place.
A more specific error message handling was needed for the spanish Storefinder.
For example:
Therefore, the minimun length has been adjusted and the error message is now more specific for the case if one letter is entered.
For a developer, it would be effective to be able to apply validations via a clear API in the dialog generator.
A clear and uniform API in the dialog generator is intended to enable input validation on formula elements. At the same time, this procedure replaces the diverse and scattered programming of the dialogs in the AEM, and enables more efficient programming of the dialogs.
