New Features and Enhancements

Enable Newsletter Subscription and Account via CDC

Dropdown - CDC option

Up to now, newsletter registrations and account processing have been possible from AEM with the following backends:

  • eLettershop
  • Sales Force Marketing Cloud

A third option will be enabled for registration and account processing with SAP CDC (Customer Data Cloud) as the backend.

 

Following criteria will be implemented for the CDC:

  • For each country, it can be editorially defined whether eLettershop, SFMC or CDC are used as the backend for newsletters
    • This can be set in the properties of the country page in the tab "Marketingcould settings"
  • The CDC API key can be stored for each country using the OSGi configuration
    • If CDC is defined in the CMS for a country 
    • The profile data is sent to the CDC
    • The request for a link to the newsletter account is dispatched to kyma
    • The request to unsubscribe from newsletters is dispatched to kyma
  • The Kyma URL used in onBeforeValidation and when requesting the link to the newsletter account can be configured per OSGi for each environment

 

Important Information

The dropdown "Newsletter Backend" only replaces the "use Salesforce Marketingcloud for Newsletter Subscription" checkbox in the country page properties. 

Uploading article data and images to SFMC must also be possible for countries with a CDC backend, as the dispatch ultimately takes place through SFMC.

Create a reverse proxypass to Salesforce for newsletter management

For various use cases, we have implemented supporting functions in a small backend, which can be accessed via an specific URL. In order not to bring any unnecessary domains into the website and then also to be able to use cookies, it would be optimal to loop this service as a ProxyPath via the dispatcher, so that these can be called directly in the website URL. 

A reverse proxy configuration should therefore be created as a solution.

So e.g. https://www.aldi.dk/sfmc/*  forwards in the backend to https://nl-backend-dev.b101901.kyma.shoot.live.k8s-hana.ondemand.com/sfmc/* .

This will be provided for all markets and all stages.

New instagram component

New Instagram component on mobile view

A new social media component has been created which focuses on presenting ALDI on instagram. This new component can only be integrated and used on specific Pages:

  • Consumer Homepage
  • Corporate Homepage
  • CR Homepage
  • Career Homepage
  • Promotion Day Page (und damit natürlich indirekt auch auf der Promotion Week Page)
  • Enhanced Product Page
  • Editorial Overview Page
  • Editorial Page
  • Recipe Landing Page
  • Recipe Overview Page
  • Recipe Page

 

Configuration:

Before using this component in the AEM it is neccessary to add some parameters in the OSGI console (Country ID, Name, Account ID, technical key, API)

 

After doing so the configuration in the AEM can be forwarded:

  • Open settings of the component
  • See in the dropdown of "config" the name which was added in the OSGI is listed there
  • In the field "Post" there can be up to 8 posts added and ordered as wished from the account
    • The tile which displayes the posts have also a 1:1 square image format 
    • Tiles will be displayed as stack with swiping action on mobile and als "slide" in desktop and tablet
    • Likes and Captions will be also displayed, Caption max. is 4 rows
    • Linking with "@" and "#" will be displayed in ALDI cyan color but are not actual linkings
    • Each post Tile links to the actual post in Instagram, before redirectign to Instagram a addotional layer open and asks the customer if he wants to be redirected there - agree/ dont agree button included
  • In the tab LABLES all needed lables can be inserted
    • Title, Text, Button Test & Link - link can be internal and external
    • Link opening behavior
    • Likes. published lable for minute. hours, days and date please always use %s as an key for the drawn data out of Instagram  - e.g lable for Published hours: "Post has ben published %s hours ago"
  • Likes and published times will be updates twice per hour (every 30 minutes)
Instagram Component on tablet

Important Information

For security reasons the instagram account data will be configured by ALDI International centrally in coordination with you. Please contact us if you want to use this component.

Product slider for new campaign component

Campaign Component

A new campaign component is currently in the making which can promote a certain campaign and its products. This way a specific campaign can be highlighted for customers. 

As the screenshot shows this componen contains a header section, a countdown and a slider. 

For this release the slider has been completed and works as following:

  • Up to 12 slides can be implemented but 4 slides are minimum required
  • The tiles do have have a fixed width per viewport - same as product tiles 
  • Desktop: If all slides do not fir into viewport, arrows on left and right will be displayed 
  • Tablet: arrows will be displayed and swiping is also possilbe
  • Mobile: only swiping is possible 

The exact way how it can be configured in the CMS will be preseted after finalizing the remaining parts and releasing the whole campaign component.

Important Information

This particular slider can not be used yet since this is a single part of an upcoming component.

Article tile - text field for content manager

New Text field as Article tile flag

A new textfield (marketinglable) has been added in the properties of articles so that the content manager is able to configurate specific text for each article. 

Text field can be found in the properties of the article under the checkbox list of flags. The text will the displayed on the same spot as the other flages: Left upper corner of the tile. 

However the recall and sold out flags do have priority so if they are active no other flags will be displayed. Rest flags will be displayed in following order:  promotionDate, availability, recommendation, marketiglable. A max. of 2 flags can be displayed. 

For DE: Same priority and order are valid for algolia tiles, here max of 3 flags can be displayed.

The Flag can display up to 22 characters also this flag can be imported via CSV import.

Important Information

Please use this flag instead of the price reduction field when adding promotional text.

 

CSV import Name: marketingFlag-countrycode → e.g marketingFlag-de

Make sure to also add the techical key in the AEM before impoting it via CSV.

Note: The price reduction flag will be shortened to a limited amount of characters (11) in the near future.

YellowMap Store Importer: Optimize and Replacement to Author Instance

After modification of the import, it should now be monitored whether the imports are up-to-date on a daily basis. 

The test should be carried out daily in the CMS. The check automatically records all store list components and checks the pages generated under them. 

An email is sent to "ALDI Digital Marketing Support" if the branch pages are older than 48 hours.

DE Algolia | Include search slot in all pages & Include in template definitions

We have currently included the Algolia search slot in the header on the start page, offer page and offer page for the next week. With the new navigation header concept, it makes sense to define the search slot on all other pages as well.

Also the Algolia search slot definition needs to be transferred to the templates. So that when a new page is created, the search is already included and dies not need to be implemented through a content migration.

Go-Live and deactivate maps of New JobSearch

The Jobsearch V2 has a map view function on default. Therefore it should be configurable that the map function is deactived. This adjustment have been done and the map function can be configurend via OSGI console.

Theme Tiles are available on all templates

After introducing and deplyoing the theme tiles component it was possible to add this component into all types of template. In fact it should be not possible to do so since for a few templates this component should not be available. 

The theme tiles have been removed for following templates:

  • Recall Page
  • Application Form
  • Shopping List
  • Promotion Week Page
  • Store List

Change mapping ALDI Liefert contact form

The mapping from the contact form to the Service Cloud had to be adapted in the contact form. 

CAN - IMA article import 

Since the regionalization is already active in Spain, it has been decided to adjust and enhance the functionality. Follwoing criterias has been added: 

  • Interface has been extended to Spanish IMA system
  • Transfer of different prices, regions and products to AEM
  • Data is being stored in AEM

Bugfixes

  • Location icon is too small - If an job offer has several location the icon would be displayed too small - this has been fixed.
  • AEM | Hero tile CTA wrong -  The secondary CTA on hero used to be white this has been fixed and changed to transparent.
  • Algolia-Labels prefilled with keys - After creating a new algolia search result page the labels in the tab LABLES are prefilled with technical keys - this have been fixedso that these fields are empty by default.
