Release Notes 1-92

About the development of new requirements and optimizations of the Content Management System.

New Features and Enhancements

Reload ANIKO farb scheme styles later

The Target was to eliminate resources and block rendering.

Since the CSS for the ANIKO color scheme is not relevant for the initial loading of the page, the CSS can be loaded asynchronously to not block the rendering of the page.

Visual effect: When the page is loaded, the article tiles are initially displayed with the default colors. As soon as the ANIKO color scheme is loaded, the default colors are replaced by the ANIKO colors.

Important Notice:
Please be aware that the ALDI App doesn't make use of the headlines and products, so a specific image has to be created exclusively in the App.

Job Quick-Search realize with Job-Search-V2

With regard to the new Job Search V2, it is necessary to make the associated Quick Search module compatible. It is currently connected to the old JobSearch, this means after submitting the form, get parameters are attached to the URL which cannot be interpreted by the new search appropriately.

Therefore a Quicksearch-V2 modul will be integrated which delivers the right parameters and behaves correctly while producing the correct output.

Adjustment category slider

New look of category slider

A few adjustments have been made on the category slider:

  • Tiles will have rounded edges
  • Tiles will have a fixed width
  • Arrows for sliding will be adjusted in style
  • Additionally to the arrows the swiping functions will be remained
  • Space between the tiles will stay the same
  • Other sliders will be also adjusted:
    • Recipe Landing Page slider
    • Product Category slider
    • Content slider

The recruiters wanted to have the pictures on the career page always similar to the one in TalentLink. The pictures being uploaded and referenced by recruiters and HR colleagues should be used and retrieved from TLK getAdvertisement without mapping them to the Job Detail page. This means that the current functionality for Job detail page (mapping pictures with technical ID) is not required any more.

Criteria for this enhancement:

  • Picture URL can be read via getAdvertisements
  • Picture is made available from TalentLink directly: picture is downloaded from TalentLink and saved into AEM DAM.
  • Duplicate check is performed (pictures with the same URL/ID will only be downloaded once).
  • made available from TalentLink directly
  • "header" picture will be used for the header section on job detail page
  • "bottom" picture will be used for banner on job detail page
  • remaining functionality will remain as is (selection of image to display; automatic different image renditions for different viewports etc.)
  • As downloading of images will be done asynchronous after the import, a new image will not be displayed in the according Job Detail Page directly after the import. The image will be visible after approx. 1 hour.

Algolia-Feature: Activate by default after go-live

The Algolia feature is currently inactive by default and must be activated manually after deplyomenst in the respective systems (int, pre & prod). It". It has been handled like this while preparing the Algolia search.

However, this must be changed after the Algolia feature goes live, otherwise Algolia would be deactivated on all systems again after each deployment.

Filter Adjumstment: Always expanded

Filters expanded as default

The displaying of the filters has been adjusted to support the usage. The filters und their filter category will be now all unfolded by deafult.

Optimize Shopping list CTAs

New Shoppinglist CTA´s

In order to offer our users an easy-to-use shopping list, some things have been changed. It is now possible to add a text which will be displayed on the shopping list under the headline. Furhtermore the CTA appearance have been adjusted.

  • Send list via Email button below the text and under the articles is available as primary button
  •  Print button below the text is available as secondary button (on Desktop only)
  • Delete sopping list button is displayed at the bottom of the page as a secondary button

SFMC: remove "log unsubscribe" step from unsubscribe process

Various steps are being made for the unsubscribing process. Two of them are the SendRequest "logUnsub" and set Subscription-Status in the Staging and Master-DataExtension.

First step of logUnsub is actually not relevant for this process as only the status is actually important. Therefore the step logUnsub has been removed.

SFMC: Add Clients-Config

Some client configurations has been created for the following markets in the CMS:

  • DK
  • PL
  • PT

As part of the Go Live planning for DK we limit ourselves to the functional tests on DK for now.

A connection between TLK Sandbox and AEM Int is required to test new functions / content on the website. So that there is no dependency on overwriting on Int, the configuration should be stored permanently in the next deployment.

The following Tech IDs will be connected:

  • harver DK Sandbox
  • harver BE nl Sandbox
  • harver BE fr Sandbox
  • harver PT Sandbox
