New Features and Enhancements

New navigation concept

New Main Nav

With the 1.91 Release the new navigation will go live with the following features:

  • The navigation will be displayed horizontally with 6 navigation points in the first level navigation and 3 in the meta navigation
  • The sub navigation will be displayed as Megalayer 
    • Here you have the possibility to define more than 4 pages as promo pages that will be displayed in the first column
    • The rest of the pages will be displayed in the Megalayer with up to 4 subpages showing as well. If the number of the subpages exceeds the number of four a "Show more button will be displayed

Important Information

Content Update:

After the deployment the text of the "Show more" button needs to be integrated.

That needs to be done in the Page Properties of your Language Page in the Tab Labels

New USP component (Accordion)

Newsletter Feedback Component

This new component can used only on the consumer hompage and can be inserted through the accordion component. This component can highlight and link to certain topics. 

Set up: 

  1. Open Consumer Page add an accordion 
  2. Add seven accordion elements to this accordion
    1. called Accordion item with icon
  3. Open one element and fill with content
    1. Title and Text are mandatory fields
    2. Symbol, Link and Linktext are not mandatory
  4. Save and publish page

New ALDI services component

New theme tiles component

A new component will be available which can promote and highlight the ALDI Services. This component can be inserted into the consumer hompage and can be set uo as following:

  • Open web consumer page and add a service tile component
  • Open configuration 
  • First tab is for general settings 
    • Here you can insert a headline (mandatory), description and button with text and link (optional)
  • Following tabs are to set up the Tiles
    • Here you can add an image for the Tile (1 row more will be dotted out), and fill in the madatory fields like alt text, title, link and link opening behavior
    • The inserted link can be an internal or external link

 

  • The images that should be used in the Tiles will be provided centrally to ensure the correct display of the rounded edges
  • All four Tiles are mandatory and need to be configurated
  • While mouseovering the tiles each tile will be lifted up to 4px 

 

Important Information

You are free to use different images than displayed in the example. The intention is to use half transparent images in this component but it's not a must. You can contact the UX Team for a Photoshop template.

New career component

Quickliks Component

A new component which can highlight career content will be available from next Wednesday on. This component can be only inserted into the consumer hompage (right under recall, middle/bottom of the page) and corporate pages.

Set-up:

  • Open consumer hompage or corporate page
  • Add a career component and open configuration
  • Fill in fields (image, alt text, title etc..)
    • Title has a max. of 2 rows and rest will be dotted out
  • Save and publish page

The whole component is clickable and the link will be underlined while mousover.

Filter Addition: Date of offers

For users it would be useful to organize the offers by date so therefore it has been decided to give the user the option to filter by date.

Criteria for the new filter:

  • The filter is called "Promotion Day" and can be found in the list of filters on the offer page
  • In the filter, the current days of the week are displayed as tabs to choose from
  • If you select a day of the week, only the offers for this day of the week are displayed as well as the current content that is not maintained in Article Section

For the new filter a label has to be integrated in the Page Properties of the Language Page in the tab Articles

Newsletter subscription add parameter for source of registration

With the expansion and activation of the newsletter subscription servlet for external services, the source of the registration should be recorded. 

So far the source was only the CMS and therefore this parameter has not been required until now.

Via the registration of the newsletter subscription, the following two new parameters are expected as mandatory parameters in addition to the previously transmitted parameters:

  • source
  • source_detail

The parameters are only available when registering via "site2site". In the case of internal calls, i.e. via the CMS, the parameters are not expected and are not processed. Both parameters are stored in Salesforce in the subscription category (DataExtension "NL_CATEGORY") and will are taken into account when checking the DataExtension data structures

The two new parameters are entered in all DataExtensions of all markets.

Enhancement Newsletter- Unsubscribe process

Alter message

Currently unsubscribing it only possible by entering the email on the unsubscribing page. The aim is to make unsubscribing from the newsletter easier and less error-prone.

Therefore the page will be extended by the call via URL parameters (this has to be enabled by Salesforce team). On the unsubscribe page, the user is shown the newsletter name(s) /category from which he or she would be unsubscribed, so there will be no checkboxes to choose from. 

On the unsubscribe page, an info text should be added (editorial), for example to inform him that if he does not want to unsubscribe, he can also switch to the account page with the link beneath.

Careerpage: Activate Banner for DK and NL

The recruiters wanted to have footnotes/footer catchphrases that were put into the job offer. 

This is displayed accordingly on job detail page footer. Therefore, all necessary information have been configured in TalentLink, the corresponding asset has been uploaded accordingly into DAM and the mapping logic has been activated in order to allow the matching and display of the catchphrases.

Pentest - outadated JavaScript-Bibliothek JQuery 3.1.1

The application integrates JavaScript frameworks, some of these versions of the Frameworks are out of date and contain known vulnerabilities. Also jQuery contains several cross-site scripting and prototype pollution vulnerabilities.

Therefore jQuery is updated to 3.6.0, Migration script is completely removed and all errors (output in the developer console) have been corrected.

Bugfixes

  • BE - AEM Contest form settings - OSGi-Configuration for Belgium to use the Contest Form from Salesforce has been adjusted.
  • FAQ - no Search Results on mobile - Immediately after entering the first letter in the search on mobile, the label No results is displayed - this has been fixed.
  • Newsletter Unsubscribe - Non-subscribted mail addresses could be unsubscribed which is a wrong behavior - this has been fixed. 
  • Adjust Size Attribute for Ambient Article Image - Hero images were pixelated in the new article tile wchich was caused from a size attribut - fixed.
  • AEM | MOBILE - Hero tile wrong corner round - The hero tile on mobile devices had one angular corner and three round ones - this has been fixed.
  • Newsletter Banner  -  An icon was displayed in front of the headline - this has been fixed.
  • AEM | Wrong font Product tile for brand - Font has been adjusted, Mobile: 10px Desktop: 12px.
  • Update Shopping list to new article tile for product articles - The images of assortment articles were not displayed - fixed.
