New Features and Enhancements

Usercentrics settings in the AEM

In December 2020 the Consent Management Platform (CMP) V1. from Usercentrics has been implemented. This Version (V1) is valid until December 2021. Therefore, it has been deciced to implement the second version (V2) already in the AEM.

The newer version can be selected in the properties of the Country Page in the tab COOKIES. Markets who already use Usercentrics can change to the second version.

Determine last date on which articles have been publicly advertised

A lot of articles and their assets which are not in use for years occupy the storage in the Respository. In terms to keep the storage clean, these articles can now be identified.

  • An AEM Report can be drawn per market by the Product Owner. The report lists the following information about every article:
    • when the article was promoted the last time
    • from which source he article comes from
    • how many assets are connected to it (reference to DAM)
    • how many secondary assets are subordinated (in Repository, saved under the iteration)

Important Information

If there is the need to remove articles we will get in touch with you via Jira ticket.

DE - Show FAQ category tiles while searching

If the customer decides to switch to one of the categories and thus clicks on of the category tiles the customer will be directed to the category related page on the viewport.

Enhancement of DOI Mails

For markets who use different languages (for example BE) it should be distinguishable in which language the DOI Mail should be send out to the customer. Therefore, a language code which contains the contraction will be forwareded to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud to determines to language.

Configurable harver flow and Bottom banner field

The harver flow is now configurable as well as the bottom banner flied. Both are part of the Harver Job whichs redirects to an external application form the Harver - Website.

The harver flow affects he building process of the URL which the harver Job creates and the banner fields affects the rich text of the bottom banner of the job detail page. Both were until now integrated in the code, but with the upcoming release they have the option to be configured on a technical level.

Automatic threshold e-mail

View quality seals in the Marketing Cloud

A new product tile design for the newsletter is in the making.

This design includes quality seals. Therefore, if an article contains a seal, this additional information must be sent to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud when the page is published in AEM.

So if an article contains a seal and it has been selected for the newsletter, the seal should also be displayed.

To ensure this, a URL to the quality seal image will be transferrd with all the other article data into the SFMC Data Extension.

Optimize product slider

Category Navigation slider

The display of the Category Navigation slider will be changed with the upcoming release:

  • The date and headline of the category are no longer displayed on the image, but beneath.
  • The complete tile is clickable.
  • There is no more black color gradient displayed on the image.
  • The CTA beneath the Category Navigation on the Homepage is displayed as primary button and it can be chosen, whether it should be left aligned or centered.

BE - Adjustment of OSGI console for job results

Since there are no job descriptions available in German for the BE pages, the French descriptions should be shown also on the German pages. Therefore, the value in the OSGI console had to be adjusted accordingly.

Split Sitemap for SEO

Current structure of sitemap

The sitemap that is currently for example available at https://www.aldi-nord.de/.aldi-nord-sitemap.xml will be divided into three individual sitemaps:

  • regular sitemap for sites
  • sitemap for images
  • sitemap fir videos

The reason for this is that from an SEO point of view it makes sense to deliver images and videos (if available) to Google in a separate sitemap. This allows the crawling budget to be controlled much more efficiently later and also to improves the indexing, especially for images and videos.
